Taking the Great Commission Seriously
The28th.LIFE began with what many would call a chance meeting—a pastor, a church lay representative, and a conference attendee crossing paths. While it may not sound like the beginning of an extraordinary story, God often works through ordinary moments to accomplish extraordinary things.As conversations unfolded, so did a shared burden. Through much prayer, thoughtful discussion, and a growing conviction, it became clear that much of today's ministry had begun focusing more on the results than on the reason. We were reminded of Jesus' simple yet powerful command in Matthew 28: "Go and make disciples." Everything else flows from that mission.
United by that calling, Reverend Devin, Reverend Eric, and Nanette committed themselves to bringing ministry back to the basics of the Great Commission. They envisioned a ministry that would equip believers to know God more deeply, grow in their faith, serve others with purpose, and confidently share the hope of Jesus Christ
The journey required years of prayer, planning, late-night brainstorming sessions, and countless conversations. At one point, the team made the intentional decision to stop striving, trust God's timing, and simply let God be God. It was in that season of waiting that He began opening doors and renewing the vision with fresh momentum.
The original dream included a physical ministry center where believers could gather for worship, discipleship, training, prayer, resource sharing, podcasts, and hands-on mission opportunities. As that vision continued to develop, it became clear that the mission could begin immediately by meeting people where they already are.
THE28th.LIFE was born online.
What started as a website quickly expanded into a growing digital ministry. We recognized that many people today seek answers, community, and encouragement online long before they ever walk through the doors of a church. Rather than waiting for people to come to us, we chose to go where people are—embracing digital media as another mission field.
Through biblical teaching, Bible reading plans, devotionals, prayer resources, podcasts, discipleship tools, and social media, we are committed to reaching beyond the walls of the church and into everyday life. Our desire is simple:
No Soul Forgotten. None Left Behind.
Everything we do is built upon the foundation laid long before us by Jesus Christ Himself. He showed us what it means to love, to serve, to teach, to forgive, and to give everything for the sake of others. We seek to follow in His footsteps by being His hands and feet in a world that desperately needs His hope.
Whether through an outreach event, a mission project, a Bible study, a prayer gathering, a podcast, or a simple conversation, our prayer is that every person who encounters THE28th.LIFE will encounter Jesus.
We believe every believer has a mission field. Sometimes it is across the street. Sometimes it is across the world. Sometimes it begins with a single conversation or a single click. Wherever God calls, we are committed to following.
